Deadpool, during the Modern Age of Marvel Comics, briefly merged with the Venom symbiote in a non-Earth-616 reality, resulting in a version sometimes called Deadpool/Venom, or Venompool.
This occurred during the "Deadpool Back in Black" storyline, following the symbiote's temporary separation from Spider-Man and its journey through space. The comic explores what would have happened if Venom bonded with Deadpool instead of Eddie Brock when Venom first came to Earth in Secret Wars #8.
The result was a character possessing Deadpool's irreverent personality and healing factor combined with the symbiote's powers, creating an even more chaotic and dangerous entity. He first appeared in Deadpool: Back in Black #1. The events take place with the symbiote in a state that is not how it originally bonded with Eddie Brock, but rather a more alien state as described in the story's plot.
